Kerteminde’s Nordstrand (North Beach) is a blue flag beach with lifeguards in the summer months. The beach stretches from the marina to the camp site. When you rent a holiday home or apartment in Kerteminde, you are only a couple of minutes’ walk from this lovely beach. It is one of Funen’s finest.
To the south of the town lies Kerteminde Sydstrand (South Beach) with its quaint little beach huts. On the side closest to the town, there is fine sand and a bathing pier. Towards Klinten Cliffs, the beach is more pebbly. This is a favourite spot for anglers and divers. You can walk on the promenade from the old fishing harbour right out to Klinten Cliffs.
Dalby Bugten Bay lies just a few kilometres to the north of Kerteminde. The beach here is particularly child-friendly – a sandy beach with shallow water. If you are looking for a bit of peace and quiet, this beach is the perfect choice as it is used almost exclusively only by the local people.
Along the Great Belt Straits nestles Bøgebjerg Strand Beach on the Hindsholm peninsular to the north of Kerteminde. The locals love to drive here to enjoy this beauty spot and breath-taking views of e.g. Romsø Island.
There are several lovely beaches at Fyns Hoved, the point at the very tip of the Hindsholm peninsular. The sheltered beach at Korshavn is ideal for canoeing and paddle boarding. The beach facing the Great Belt Straits has fine sand and pebbles. This is a great place to bathe and fish. If you make your way to the very end of Fyns Hoved, there are several small lagoons with fine sandy shores.
